Volunteer teaching in Kuraburi Nursery
On Monday, November 21, 2011, Yvette, Iris and Stefanie have started their last week as teaching volunteers in the Kuraburi Nursery School. We visited them during lunchtime and were lucky to get a beautiful group picture. The volunteers reflected on their first day: “The school is located in a poor area between rubber plantations. It consists out of one big room that is separated in two classes. Upon our arrival, the children and teachers gave us a warm welcome. The children, happy and pleased to see us, were excited and eager to learn. They were not shy and even gave us a hug when the school was finished!”
We are looking forward to hearing more reflections on your experiences.
