Mae Hong Son Two Day Tour – Hill Tribe Village Trek

Hill tribe trek in the Pang Mapha District area.
Here you will experience 2 different indigenous communities; Red Lahu at Ban Pha Mon.
We stay with a friendly host family and take your opportunities to learn about their local cooking, lifestyle and local wisdom. The rainy season is the most beautiful period to visit with more local activities available.

Day 1 Mae Hong Son – Pai to Ban Pha Momn (Red Lahu Tribe) (L, D)
- 08.00 Depart from your hotel and drive along the beautiful mountain road and make a short stop at Pang Ma ha viewpoint for a beautiful view of the mountain valley. Continue your journey to Pa Mai Daeng (Red Wood Forest) where the trail head starts.
- Today’s trek is about 4-5 hours. During the trek, witness the existing rotational farming area and conservation forest area. Trail leads into several valleys descending and ascending to a high mountain and crossing a natural creek.
- 12.00 Pack lunch provided during your trek.
- 13.00 Afternoon continue the trek along the mountains, passing village paddy rice fields and mountain rice farming. Take a little break before getting into the village.
- 16.00 Check in your local homestay, relax or take a bath
- 18.00 Enjoy dinner at the homestay
Day 2 Local Culture (B, L)
- 08.00 Today is your soft day to experience Red Lahu traditional culture. After your breakfast take a village walk tour to observe different cultural demonstrations; visit village temples, Red Lahu sewing cloth, traditional medicine, bamboo weaving, learn how to cook Lahu dishes and enjoy lunch
- 13.00 After lunch, pack up and say goodbye to your host family. Return to Mae Hong Son (about 2 hours’ drive).
